An International Event on Traditional Chinese Medicine — The 2025 Symposium on the Theory and Practice of Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment Grandly Opens

On December 3, 2025, the Symposium on the Theory and Practice of Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment was held in Kuala Lumpur. The conference aimed to systematically present the latest academic achievements in brain-heart integrated treatment, while promoting the clinical application and international collaboration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Southeast Asia. The event brought together over 200 TCM and Western medicine experts and physicians from China, Malaysia, and Singapore, and was attended by representatives from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and Malaysian Members of Parliament, highlighting the strong societal attention to the development of TCM and the establishment of the brain-heart integrated treatment system.

The symposium was graced by Dr. Zhao Xiangdong, Science and Technology Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Mr. Zhang Tianhang, Second Secretary of the Embassy, and Mr. Tan Kok Wai, Member of Parliment for Cheras, marking an important milestone for the development of brain-heart integrated treatment in Malaysia.

At the start of the conference, all participants stood as the national anthems of Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China were played. The solemn music not only underscored the ceremony’s formality but also symbolized the deep friendship and shared vision between the two countries in TCM cooperation.

The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Yong Wee Seong, President of the Malaysian Academic Association of Scholars, and Dr. Heng Aik Teng, President of the Malaysian Chinese Medical Association. They extended heartfelt congratulations on the successful convening of the symposium and the establishment of the Malaysian Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment Branch, expressing their hopes that this platform would further promote regional academic exchanges in TCM, talent cultivation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Although Professor Zhao Buchang, Lifetime Honorary Chairman of Buchang Pharmaceuticals, could not attend due to official duties in China, he sent his sincere congratulations via video, expressing his expectations for the development of brain-heart integrated treatment on the international stage.

Professor Zhao Chao, President of Buchang Pharmaceutical Group, member of the 11th–13th National People’s Congress, and Director of the Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment Committee of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the global significance of brain-heart integrated treatment in the prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

In a ceremony witnessed by all attendees, the Malaysian Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment Branch was officially inaugurated, and the Brain-Heart Talent Development Program was launched. This marked a new stage of systematic and standardized development of brain-heart integrated treatment in Malaysia and signified the future cultivation of more professionals with expertise in both TCM and Western medicine to support regional cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease management.

Following the ceremony, Professor Chen Shuyan, Executive Director of ZBT Far East Sdn. Bhd. and Director of the Malaysian Scholars Academic Association, delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the participants and partners and emphasizing continued collaboration to advance TCM. Dr. Yang Weixiong presented commemorative gifts to the two keynote speakers, Professor Chen Bojun and Professor Dai Haojie, in appreciation of their support and contribution.

The symposium also screened a promotional video on brain-heart integrated treatment and presented certificates of appreciation to co-organizing and supporting institutions, recognizing their significant contributions to the internationalization of TCM.

The academic sessions were led by several prominent experts, delivering in-depth, professional, and clinically valuable presentations:

  • “Relationship Between Cardiovascular Disease and Inflammatory Responses and Clinical Medication Strategies — A Combined TCM and Western Medicine Perspective” — Presented by Professor Chen Bojun, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.
    Professor Chen provided a detailed analysis of the role of inflammation in cardiovascular diseases based on evidence-based medicine and proposed integrated TCM-Western intervention strategies, offering comprehensive guidance for clinical practice.

  • “Application of Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment in Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease” — Online presentation by Professor Zhang Xiangjian, Hebei Medical University.
    Professor Zhang elaborated on the core theories of brain-heart integrated treatment and their research findings and clinical value in ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Although delivered online, the presentation was rigorous, systematic, and widely recognized by attending physicians.

  • “TCM-Assisted Rehabilitation under Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment” — Presented by Professor Dai Haojie, Founder of Self-Healing System Life Science and Structural Rehabilitation Studies.
    Professor Dai shared his academic journey from cardiac arrest recovery to building a structured rehabilitation system, demonstrating how theory can be translated into practical rehabilitation skills. He analyzed the interplay between TCM wisdom and modern rehabilitation medicine, sparking lively discussion among participants.

The symposium concluded with remarks and acknowledgments by Dr. Yew Teck Tai, Academic Consultant of ZBT Far East Sdn. Bhd., who emphasized that the event served not only as a platform for academic exchange but also as a milestone in medical integration and talent cultivation. He extended heartfelt thanks to all participants, scholars, physicians, and partner organizations, expressing the hope that future collaboration would continue to leverage the strengths of both TCM and Western medicine to benefit regional healthcare.

With the strong support of all parties, the 2025 Symposium on the Theory and Practice of Brain-Heart Integrated Treatment concluded successfully. The event not only enhanced the academic influence of TCM in Southeast Asia but also laid a solid foundation for the international promotion of brain-heart integrated treatment in clinical practice. Moving forward, the organizers will continue to advance cross-border research collaboration, talent cultivation, and academic exchanges, contributing further to regional healthcare development.

6 Days & 5 Nights Lanzhou–Dunhuang Journey

On September 20th, ZBT, together with our partner physicians, embarked on an unforgettable Silk Road journey. From the banks of the Yellow River to the vast Gobi Desert, from the colorful Danxia landscapes to the Mogao Caves, history and nature intertwined, while culture and friendship accompanied every step.

This itinerary covered the most iconic sites of Lanzhou and Dunhuang. We explored Leitai Park, where the Bronze Galloping Horse rears proudly, narrating a millennium of glory. At Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park, mountains rise in layered formations, painted in a vivid spectrum—like a giant natural palette. Under the sunset, the Danxia formations blaze like flames, exuding warmth and vibrant energy.

Atop Jiayuguan Fortress, we admired the majestic aura of the “First and Greatest Pass Under Heaven.” Riding across the Gobi Desert, we caught glimpses of the snow-capped Qilian Mountains. Along the way, we stopped by “Child of the Earth”, a peaceful figure resting in the desert sands. Like a child cradled in its mother’s arms, it silently guards the millennia of wind and sand.

We climbed Mingsha Mountain, feeling the sand shift beneath our feet, with the desert’s whispers echoing around us. From above, Crescent Lake sparkles like a moon-shaped oasis set in golden sands, never drying up over a thousand years—truly awe-inspiring. The sound of camel bells resonated across the Gobi, and under the starry sky, the desert revealed its boundless wonder.

We also visited the world cultural heritage site, the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, home to over 45,000 square meters of murals and 2,000 colored statues. Despite the passage of time, the artworks remain vivid and lively, a true masterpiece of art.

Dunhuang, a gem of the Silk Road, carries both the weight of a thousand-year civilization and the grandeur of the desert landscape. This journey was more than a trip—it was a spiritual experience.

The vastness of the desert, the majesty of the river, the brilliance of the Danxia formations, and the solemnity of the murals—all have become unforgettable memories. Every photo captured a moment frozen in time.

Though the journey has ended, the awe and beauty will linger in our hearts for a long time.

此次行程涵盖了兰州、敦煌最具代表性的景点。探访【雷台公园】，铜奔马昂首腾跃，诉说着千年辉煌。走进【张掖七彩丹霞】，群山叠嶂、色彩斑斓，宛若大地调色盘。夕阳余晖下，丹霞如火焰般炙热，又有一股橙色的热情和明亮。
登临【嘉峪关城楼】，领略“天下第一雄关”的雄浑气势。驰骋戈壁，远眺祁连雪山。途中打卡【大地之子】，沉睡在大漠中的“乖娃娃”，静静守护着千年风沙，却更像是一个酣睡在母亲怀抱的孩子，所以称他为“大地之子”。
踏上【鸣沙山】，细沙随步而动，耳畔回荡阵阵沙鸣。俯瞰【月牙泉】，清泉如弯月镶嵌金色沙漠，千年不干涸，令人叹服。驼铃声响彻戈壁，星空坠入沙漠，去趟大西北才能懂什么叫”震撼”！
走进世界文化遗产【敦煌莫高窟】，壁画45000多平方米与彩塑像2000身。历经千年，依旧鲜活生动，艺术堪称一绝。
敦煌，这座丝绸之路上的明珠，既有千年文明的厚重，又有大漠风光的壮丽。
🌟 这不仅是一段旅程，更是一场心灵洗礼。
大漠的辽阔，长河的浩荡，丹霞的绚丽，壁画的庄严，都已化作最动人的记忆。📸 每一张照片，都是时光的定格。

6 Days 5 Nights Guizhou Tour ✈️

On 23 September, ZBT organized a 6 days 5 nights journey to colorful Guizhou, bringing together a group of partner physicians for an enriching and memorable experience.

The Guizhou tour was truly a dual feast of culture and nature, featuring magnificent landscapes, rich ethnic minority cultures, and a long-standing historical heritage. The purpose of this trip was to gather physician partners for academic exchange, while strengthening mutual interaction and professional bonding.

The itinerary included some of Guizhou’s most iconic and representative attractions. One highlight was the spectacular Huangguoshu Waterfall, known as Asia’s largest waterfall. With its powerful, unceasing flow, it creates a breathtaking scene. Like a grand symphony of nature, every thunderous roar resonates deeply, awakening a profound sense of awe for the natural world.

Another remarkable destination was Mount Fanjing, a renowned cultural and spiritual mountain with a history of over 2,000 years. Its towering peaks rise dramatically, earning it the name “Fanjing Pure Land” and the reputation of the “City in the Sky.” Although the climb was physically demanding, the panoramic and magnificent views from the summit made the effort worthwhile, leaving everyone refreshed and inspired.

The journey also brought participants to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, often described as the real-life version of Spirited Away—the largest Miao ethnic settlement in the world. There, participants experienced unique ethnic customs, enjoyed local delicacies, and took part in traditional Miao singing and dancing. Staying in a scenic-view hotel within the village, everyone watched as the lights gradually illuminated the village at sunset, harmonizing with the fading glow of the sky. The scene resembled thousands of lights coming alive, truly evoking the feeling of a real-life Spirited Away.

Exploring the magnificent landscapes of Guizhou, this journey was not only a discovery of natural beauty, but also a deep immersion into cultural diversity, leaving a lasting impression on all who took part. Filled with laughter and joyful moments, every photograph became a timeless keepsake, bringing this wonderful journey to a perfect conclusion.

“ZBT’s efficacy speaks for itself” — a single phrase that brought together over a hundred TCM physicians |Traditional Chinese Medicine goes global through strength and proven results

On Monday, 26 August 2024, ZBT Far East Sdn. Bhd. successfully hosted the “Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Seminar on Andrological Diseases” at Hotel Maluri, Kuala Lumpur. The seminar was jointly organized by ZBT Far East Sdn. Bhd. and the Malaysian Scholars Academic Association, with strong support from Buchang Pharmaceutical Group (China).

The event was honored to invite Professor Dr. Zhang Chunhe, Chief Physician of the Department of Urology and Andrology at Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. Professor Zhang specializes in the integrated use of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine for the treatment of andrological and urological conditions, including erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, male infertility, urolithiasis, and urinary system tumors, among others.

This seminar was primarily open to professional TCM practitioners from across Malaysia, and attracted over 120 TCM physicians nationwide. Distinguished attendees also included Mr. Jing Xiaopeng, General Manager of the International Trade Department of Buchang Pharmaceutical, and Mr. Sang Yingguo, Marketing Director of Buchang Pharmaceutical Division Seven.

The seminar commenced punctually at 1:30 p.m., hosted by the ZBT Regional Manager. At the opening, Professor Dr. Yong Wee Seong, President of the Malaysian Scholars Academic Association, delivered the welcome address, followed by an opening speech from Mr. Jing Xiaopeng, General Manager of Buchang Pharmaceutical’s International Trade Department.

Following the opening remarks, the seminar officially entered its core topic:
“Concepts and Clinical Practice of TCM in the Treatment of Chronic Prostatitis,” presented by Professor Dr. Zhang Chunhe.

Chronic prostatitis is one of the most common and challenging conditions in clinical practice and is prevalent among adult men. Statistics indicate that 35–40% of men over the age of 35 are affected by this condition, which can have a serious impact on both physical health and psychological well-being.

Professor Zhang’s extensive clinical experience and rigorous medical approach generated great anticipation among the attending physicians, who participated with strong enthusiasm and a keen learning spirit. His comprehensive explanation of TCM diagnostic thinking and clinical strategies for chronic prostatitis brought the seminar to its climax. In his presentation, Professor Zhang emphasized the principle of “treating through unblocking”, stating that disorders of the essence chamber (prostate) fundamentally require restoring circulation and patency.

Using this principle, he provided clinical application insights through examples of Buchang Qianlieshutong Capsules and Buchang Compound Pyrrosia Capsules, both formulated based on the concept of “using unblocking as the therapeutic core.”
Subsequently, Mr. Sang Yingguo, Marketing Director of Buchang Pharmaceutical Division Seven, introduced research findings related to Buchang Ganshuang Granules and Buchang Jianwei Xiaoyan Granules, and addressed questions raised by TCM physicians and experts in detail.

By telling the story of Traditional Chinese Medicine well, showcasing Buchang’s products effectively, and bringing distinctive, high-quality TCM products to the global stage, this seminar contributed meaningfully to the internationalization of Chinese medicine.
